VDUB at the Pub started back in 2008. This all came about when I went to Drussilla’s Inn Steam Rally in 2007. There was loads of massive steam engines and machines and other classic vehicles.

I thought, with this combination of relaxed, friendly people, great food, a beer festival, live music throughout the day and night, and in such an amazing part of the World, this would make a great place for a VW meet. I was right. 2008 was great and 2009  even better.

2010 saw us move to a new and larger location-Wimborne Football Club. This allowed us to hold more vdubs, more stalls and have lots more fun. Our May event went down a storm and we’re now gearing up to the big Summer Show 28th-29th August.

The Team

John

The brains behind the outfit. Vdub At The Pub is John’s baby, and for the past three years he’s been working hard to make each event better and better.John lives just outside Wimborne, Dorset. When he’s not organising Vdub At The Pub he can been found being dragged behind a boat.

Fred

Fred is behind all our accounts and fund-raising. A hardworking chap who’s not afraid to try his hand at something new. After living on the continent for years Fred has a real ‘joy de vivre’ and is happy to get stuck in to anything. You can find out more about Fred here.

Andy

Main monkey man and IT coordinator. Andy is responsible for this website and all other graphics and branding. He is currently developing the new VDub Store so watch this space. Andy likes nothing more than squeezing his pencil and clicking his mouse. You can see some of his illustration work here.

Al

Guru to the Vdub team. Al is the chap that came up with the name and always has a plan. Not afraid to muck in Al looks pretty tasty in Hi-Vis! Al is particularly proud of his computer museum.

Tim

Tim is a man who knows and loves his Vdubs. Tim has been a great support in setting up the shows and helping out through out the two days on the gates and mucking in!
